Diego Schwartzman said goodbye to Roland Garros.
The Argentine lost in the second round of qualifying to Quentin Alice with a score of 6:4, 4:6, 6:7 (7:10).

I felt that I was playing well - and I was. But he [Alice] deserved to win because he played much better in the decisive tiebreaker and in the important moments.

I was expecting a tough match with a lot of people, but the fans supported both him and me - they supported the match itself. Therefore, they enjoyed it, I enjoyed it, and obviously he did too, because he defeated me (smiles).

There were so many special moments in Paris. Every time I went into the second week of Roland Garros, I lost to Novak or Rafa. Five times. In the second week on our site, luck was not on my side when I played against them. But I was lucky that I met them at such a tournament.

I think I had a chance against both Rafa and Nole - when I lost in five sets. But I can tell people that I played against them many times in the second week of Grand Slams. I think many people won`t believe me. It`s crazy, playing them so many times in the second week of the Slam, preparing alone in an empty locker room. I will always remember these feelings.

I think I`ve done a lot of good with such a small body (smiles). When I look back, I honestly don`t understand how I managed it. Now I`m trying too, and I know how difficult it is to be competitive in matches. But I think that`s the way to go.

I want to be remembered as a fighter. A good fighter who was ready to play the best tennis in the world.

[The farewell ceremony] was beautiful, to be honest. I was happy at that moment, enjoying the people. Tears flowed freely.

I can cry very easily. I`m an emotional guy, but in a good way. And I really enjoyed that moment, and there are several more to come. I already had tears in my eyes when I wrote the letter [about my resignation] that I published. I enjoy every moment - and every tear will be only from happiness, and nothing else.

I am very happy. I did everything I could. I hope to perform the same at the next tournaments via austria ranking this year and at my last one in Buenos Aires.
