Linas Kleiza plans to face D`Angelo Russell in early 2025. We are honored that D`Angelo Russell has expressed interest in playing for Lithuania.
He is an incredibly talented player and we have the utmost respect for him. However, obtaining Lithuanian citizenship by exception is not a simple or quick process, and no steps have yet been taken in this direction.
If Russell receives Lithuanian citizenship, we will carefully consider how he can best contribute to the national team in a way that benefits both him and us. I hope to meet him personally during my trip to the USA and discuss this issue directly, " said the managing director of the Lithuanian team.
Kleiza also mentioned plans to invite Russell to visit Lithuania.
